TradeShield is a "Trade Compliance Decision Support Tool". The Service provides probabilistic and informational outputs only (HS code suggestions, dual-use risk indicators, sanctions fuzzy-match results, regulatory references). It does NOT issue binding tariff classifications, customs decisions, or legal opinions.

2. No Legal, Customs, or Regulatory Advice

For binding decisions, consult licensed customs brokers, qualified legal counsel, or the competent authority (e.g. national customs administration, EU Commission DG TAXUD, OFAC).

3. Probabilistic Outputs

All AI-generated outputs include a confidence score (0–100%) and use probabilistic language ("likely", "may", "potentially"). Lower confidence scores indicate higher uncertainty and mandatory manual review before any export, import, or compliance action.

4. User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for verifying all HS codes, sanctions screening results, dual-use classifications, and compliance decisions with the competent authority before acting on them.

5. No Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider is not responsible for any customs penalties, regulatory violations, financial losses, sanctions enforcement actions, or trade compliance issues resulting from use of the Service.

6. Data Sources

Sanctions data is aggregated from publicly available consolidated lists (EU CFSP, OFAC SDN, UN Security Council, UK OFSI). TARIC and ISZTAR references are derived from public DG TAXUD feeds. Source authorities update their lists independently and the Service cannot guarantee real-time completeness at any given moment.
